Putting the Plan Into Action
Community members invited to get first look at the City’s new sustainability and resilience plan and take part in an Open House to share ways we can each be involved in implementation
The City is preparing to unveil its new sustainability and resilience action plan: Thrive Indianapolis. On November 29th you'll get the first look at the full plan and have one last in-person opportunity to share feedback and discuss together actions we can take at home, school, work and around town to help promote an equitable, healthier city prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.
Indianapolis was just selected as one of 20 cities in Bloomberg Philanthropies' American Cities Climate Challenge, a two-year acceleration program that will support implementation of the Thrive plan.
6-6:30 The City will give a brief presentation of the Thrive Indianapolis plan.
6:30-8 Open House! Stations will be set up where you can find out what actions are included for the Built Environment, the Economy, Energy, Food & Urban Agriculture, Natural Resources, Public Health & Safety, Transportation & Land Use and Waste & Recycling -- and choose specific actions you can take to help build momentum.
Kids activities and snacks available throughout the event.
Need a ride home after the event or just want to try out Indy’s transit service? The first 85 people to register via Eventbrite will get a free IndyGo bus pass at the workshop! Register here.
